im trying to make a portal page with recent topics and announcements within a <div>.

ive used the basic portal code.but i only want logged in users to be able to see the above mentioned.

so i put all the code inside

but the problem is the recent topics and announcements dont display.

When i remove the switch user tag it works..any idea what the issue could be.

if I add a logged in user switch for the entire portal.

A logged in user cant see recent topics, poll options and announcements. (although the poll question and vote button can be seen)

any help would be greatly appreciated
