Thread kicker - no kick button for users? (problem solved :)

hey all, firstly i'll say this mod is COOL!

except i have 1 problem, there is no kick button for users.. everything else seems to be working ok, mods & admin can kick, & the option to allow users to kick is there, just no kick button..?

has anyone else installed this mod? i cant find any threads relating to it, any help would be greatly appreciated


(im pretty new at this, so even if you could point me in the right direction to where the problem might be, that would be great)

it should be next to there profile, email, www and so on buttons at the bottom of there posts.

Mods, Admin and other special users cant be kicked.

yeah, its there for mods & admin, but not for users.

it says that users are supposed to be able to kick people from threads that they started, but theres no kick button..

Description: This hack allows Administrators or Forum Moderators to kick users from individual threads (topics). People who start threads may also kick anyone except Administrators and Moderators from the thread, but only if Admin allows them these powers. Users are kicked/unkicked by clicking the appropiate image next to their posts.

i have set it to allow users to kick... but still no kick button..?? .. like i say, everything else seems to be working fine..

I have this hack too, and I have messed allot with it.
First, are you sure that the user is the topic starter? Only topic starters can see it. Also you have to check in your ACP if that particular user has permission to kick.

You'll have to double check these:

## templates/subSilver/subSilver.cfg
## templates/subSilver/viewtopic_body.tpl

Where subSilver is your own template.

i mite have found the problem... would you be able to tell me where i find this? i have found the option in user management to allow users to kick, & the Thread Kicker Administration in ACP just has a list of kicked users, but i cant find anywhere to change this..

- Change whether normal users may have the powers or if only administrators and moderators may have the powers.
- Decide whether the kicked user can read the thread or not.

Individual permission to kick can be found when you check a profile from your ACP. It is just below the other permissions like Avatar and the ability to pm.

There should be one link to the kick setup in your acp. Did you upload all the necesary admin files, to both the root/admin and to the root/template/subSilver/admin ?

Remember that threadstarters can't see the kick icon on moderator and admin's posts.

thats what i dont have, the link to kick set up in ACP. ive triple checked everything else.
