Searching IP's to unban

Hello, am the site administrator and have access to the Admin CP on a boards version 2.0.20.

There are thousands of IP's in the ban list and the only way I know is to scroll to find an IP that I want to un-ban. This is next to impossible to slow scroll as it takes forever, if I use the bigger scroll method I zoom by bunches of them and can also miss my target.

The find function of my Browser will not penetrate the IP listing box.

Is there an easy way to locate the IP I want to Unban? There has to be an easier way.

Remove it from the corresponding table directly in the database. Do you have access to the database.

Btw. You should update to phpBB2.0.23, your board could be hacked if you're not using the latest version, 2.0.23.

No, I do not have access to the dbase. I also can't update the boards unless the site owner gives me the go ahead.

Would be nice to have access to the dbase, but there is a reason why the owner will not do that.......He is smart.

Hello and welcome, fblevins1.

This isn't exactly what you want, but it is better. Navigate to the banned page. Now, right click and click "View Page Source." In Firefox, you have to click in the area of the banned page itself (i.e. where "To specify several different IP addresses or hostnames separate them with commas. To specify a range of IP addresses, separate the start and end with a hyphen (-); to specify a wildcard, use an asterisk (*)." is, for example) and highlight "This Frame" and then select "View Frame Source."

Now, once that is open and you have the code of the page in front of you, you can view the order of the IPs listed - all of them. You can search for the IP you want, see how far down the list it is and what is around it, etc. You can refer back to it to search for the IP you are on now, to see if you have gone too far or not enough.

It won't allow you to go to the specific IP, but it should cut down the search time.

Hi,

I ned to see my IP banlist and saw this mod.

I uploaded the files but in the phpBB 3.08 version I have, there is no language/lang_admin.php file to add code to.

Any help please?

That hack is designed for phpBB 2.0.x. It won't work on phpBB 3.
