Registration whitelist/blacklist by domain

Ladies and gentlemen,

Is there a hack that'll let me white list OR blacklist registrants based on their email domain or top-level domain?

Meaning, I'd like to make it so if someone tries to register with an @spammyspam.info address (or a .info or .ru address, etc etc) tries to register for the site, they won't be able to. (Conversely, I'm also open to a whitelist solution where I'd only enable a certain array of top-level domains.)

For the blacklist part, there's a default e-mail banning feature that would work. You have to enter each e-mail address pattern manually. It ban affect any already registered accounts using an entered email pattern, though.

A whitelisting option would be nice, but perhaps that'll have to wait until I can migrate to v.3.
