|
|
Hi all, im looking for a hack/mod/whatever you want to call it that works like the quick reply and multi quote used in vBulletin. I am using a style called darksky which is based on subsliver, if thats any help.
www.forums.aria.co.uk is the best example i can find.
If there any existing ones out there that work well that would be great.
Im new to PHPBB3 and im not 100% sure abotu installing mods, but im sure i can pick it up
Any help is very much appreciated |

| There is already a multi-quote function as standard, I believe. But you have to be on the full editor reply page. |

@ Patrick, thank you for the very helpfull links and all your previous support.
@ shaxshax, you are correct indeed, never noticed that.
Slightly different layout to vbulletin forums, they have a quote button, and a multiquote button next to each post, so you can click multi quote on several posts and then hit reply at the bottom.
But thats not a problem, the way it works as standard is fine now you mention it.
In this case, i gues i don't need any mods/hacks atall, just need to get quick reply enabled, as it doesnt seem to work. No matter what i try in the ACP |

As far as i know, i simply uploaded 3.0.7-PL1
Its not been upgraded atall
Thanks,
Dave
EDIT: I think it may be something to do with the fact that the style im using doesnt match the version of the forum. Polls don't work when using the default "DarkSky" theme, but they do for every other theme as far as im aware |

Hey Patrick, that's OK. Today is the first day iv checked back anyway
Here is the style I'm using
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=1701355
So, 2.2?
Just curious, but how hard would it be to get it up to date with 3.0.7?
The theme is perfect for what I want, and iv already edited how I want it to look, I should have checked everything worked first I suppose.
Again, thanks for the help Patrick |

Forgot to mention that i followed the two guide type things above and all went smoothly.
Byt i was curious what to do with what i had done, since there arent any 3.0.7 versions of this theme online?
Should i upload it and mention who it was made by?
It seemed there was at some point some demand for an updated version. |
