Upgradeing to BB 3

Ok, At this point in time, I am useing 2.0.23. Somewhere it said that you could upgrade to BB3 from there and save your Data Base. But seems that there is a issue. Cant get the pages to load right.
It seemsthat the themes ( backrounds) dun wanna work with the 3. Am l gonna have to redoo the whole thing over from scratch?

Phoenix you LOSE your themes on going to phpBB3

the whole lot are GONE, they do not get converted (but the good news is that they do survive in your database)

all your members automatically go to "prosilver" the default theme in phpBB3
