Hello,

I am playing with Styles and have 2 (for now) questions:

1. I wish to confirm what is required when I use someone else's style. Credit, license etc.. I am talking specifically about styles available on phpbbhacks.com

2. I change the default style and the site does not change. I can, however, change the forum from default to the style I want and it changes.

Any direction would be appreciated.

Thank You

Jim

Still unclear on Number 1, even after reviewing GNU/GPL

Found the problem for Number 2:
I had thought that if I chose the default, that would take over at next load.

Even though the test user had not chosen a style, it did not change if they already signed on.

A little poking around, even though the setting of the default from the styles tab showed in the General/Board Settings/ I had not chosen to Override the user style.

Made the change and bingo, I am good.

Ok, I am dense sometimes. Forget number 1. I reread with fresh eyes. I think I get it. Blush

Cool, glad to hear. You're not dense. I appreciate you updating the post.

But, just to confirm, mainly leaving the credit is seen as respect to the style creator. It's also a requirement to receive help in this community and, perhaps, some others. So, it's just a good all around idea!

Thanks,

Patrick
