Hello guys, I am new to the forum. I am actually running boonex dolphin 6.1.6 integrated with phpbb2. I understand there are updates for both dolphin7 and phpbb3. However I haven't seen a clean integration of both of the new versions so for now sticking with the old.

I am not an expert programmer, but I can do small changes once I know where to make these changes.

My site is www.CancunWithMe.com/index2.php that loads dolphin. From there you click on the Forums menu item, and dolphin opens phpbb2 on an IFrame.

What I want to do is figure out where the code that controls the "links" is. On the bottom of each posts it includes the PROFILE link and the PM link. Those links send people to the phpbb2 profile and the phpbb2 pm/email page. I want to rewrite this code so those links will be using the dolphin profiles and the dolphins email system.

Does anyone know where I can find the code I have to play with?

(Sorry I posted this twice, just wasn't sure where it would fit better)

Hello CancunManny,

Welcome to our community.

The post page is called view topic, and you can find the code for those buttons in viewtopic.php in the main phpBB directory. Those buttons also appear on member profiles, which are controlled by the profile.php file in the same directory.

I hope that this is what you were looking for.

Thanks,

Patrick

Thanks for the quick reply Patrick. I actually looked at viewtopic.php and couldn't find the code. Again, I am no expert at programming, but it seems that viewtopic.php calls out some type of routine (function) from somewhere else, but can't seem to find the "where".

Now that I know it is somewhere in there, I will take my time to take apart the page, until I find them functions

Thanks again

My pleasure. I am not well versed in making these sorts of changes (i.e. making phpBB work with another piece of software). But, if you search the file for "pm" and "email", I believe you may find what you are looking for.

Thanks,

Patrick

Well, I will keep trying. If I figure it out, i will post my solution. I couldn't think of a better name for my post, but if you can come up with something more descriptive you can change the title.
