It's a community for manga artists to share their work. Since it's aimed at artists, I'm particularly interested in any opinions on how the look and feel might be improved.

We started with a basic phpbb install. Then heavily modified it to integrate with coppermine. The forum is under http://www.mangapug.com/forum.html. All 'custom' pages are using the phpbb code as a base to handle basic functions. I've done all the mods I think are useful... but still looking to see if anything else should be integrated...

Any suggestions/opinions/comments are welcome!

Hey Persol,

Thanks for posting this.

The main thing for me would be that you are using prosilver in it's, basically, default form. That would be the best thing I'd like to see - I'd like to see the look and feel of the site customized. Mainly the colors and maybe a proper logo. That would be great.

Here's a new theme I think fits better...

When I first viewed your site I did not really have a problem with it being the "out of the box" Prosilver style given that your site was aimed at a particular form of art.

When I viewed it and read Patricks suggestion in reviewing it, I decided at that time not to comment just to see if you took anything at all on board in regard to the style.

You did and it (I must say) looks quite impressive which to tells me that Patrick was right in suggesting a theme more to compliment the art forms shown.

I think I was more afraid of you changing the style to something that overpowered the art itself but the style you have shown here actually compliments it in my opinion. Others of course may feel differently about it and others may not care less.

Have you shown it to your members? If so what sort of feedback are you getting from them... after all, they are the one's that will be using it fulltime so they are the one's you need to satisfy first and foremost.

In short, I think it looks great and does the artwork justice or maybe the artwork does the style justice.

You give me too much credit, ~HG~, but thank you.

With this style, I'd still like to see more of a logo as well as some other icons than the prosilver ones (ones that match the color of the style). One other thing might be to cut down the number of forums you have at the start, to better showcase your activity.
