This is the link for my wrestling forum,

http://www.wrestling-forum.net/

Very small community, hoping to get big.

Just posted here to see if anyone here can give me some tips on what to do or say what I am doing wrong.

Cheers.

Minor spelling mistake.

I wouldn't look for what you're doing wrong, but more of, what can you do better?

Have you personalized your theme? Add some things to liven the template up color wise.

What activities do you have for your members? I see a chatbox, anything else?

One thing I like to suggest is that as an Administratorm you contact your members via an Announcement post and email to get their views on what they would like to see.

Member input can be important to the development of a forum as it gives the members of feeling of "being part of the community"

As it is a wrestlling forum, you could also visit other wrestling forums already set up and running successfully to get an idea on what you would like to see or implement on your own forum. I am not suggesting blatantly ripping of ideas of another forum but more that by visiting them, it should give you some idea of what wrestling fans expect to see.

Wrestling is of course a brutal and exciting sport and your current choice of style is subdued when compared to the sport itself.

You also use a red/black/white banner and yet your forum color is basic dark blue on blue which does not lend itself to the sport of wrestling .. in my opinion.

To achieve the ultimate goal of having your forum grow, you need to be able to visualise the completed product and where possible implement your vision in a manner that promote's itself to your members and entices possible new members to register.

Good luck with your forum and please post back when you feel you have achieved your vision or you are getting close to the mark for further reviews.

Thank you two heaps.

Help in both posts.

And Truestar, no I have not edited the style, and I am thinking of putting an arcade on the forum.

Thoughts?

Welcome aboard, sky2706. Could you elaborate on that a bit? What about the icons or banner should be changed?

Thanks,

Patrick
