I would appreciate any help on this. I have installed a few hacks alot smaller than this. However, I wanted to give this one a shot and it is slightly unclear to me. It is the attachment hack for PhP V2. Here are the first couple lines of instructions.

copy attachment_mod/download.php to download.php
copy attachment_mod/uacp.php to uacp.php
copy attachment_mod/attach_rules.php to attach_rules.php

The problem is I can't find these locations?? I would assume they would be under Public HTMl, but they are not there. Does this mean I need to create them there, or is something wrong? I tried looking through the whole root and could not find them. Any help on getting this installed would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

The source comes from the zip pack (don't use winrar to unzip...) and the destination is the final name within the directoy where stands the board (eg config.php). ie, "COPY zipdir/foo.php TO includes/foo.php" means upload the file "foo.php" from the zip directory "zipdir/" to the directory "includes/" on the ftp ; it may or may not already exists.

Yes, you upload them thereby creating the files on the server. If you could find them on your server it would mean you already had that part of the mod installed, which doesn't make much sense right?

So if it says to copy (or upload) to /somefile.php it does mean to put a copy in your public_html folder, which is the webroot of your site. If it lists additional directories like Ptirhiik's example then usually those will already exist, and you just upload the file into them.
