phpBBHacks.com Idol Submission Deadline Extended!

Hello,

Thank you for visiting phpBBHacks.com.

In considering some of the feedback that we have received regarding the submission deadline in phpBBHacks.com phpBB 3 Hacks Idol and phpBBHacks.com phpBB 3 Styles Idol, I have decided to extend the deadline from the original 17 days, to 25 days in total, making for a new deadline of July 12 at 8:00 PM ET. This should hopefully allow more authors to participate. Any authors that wish to be considered for inclusion in the event must submit at least one hack or style by this deadline.

Our goal, throughout the event, is to allow people an appropriate amount of time to get downloads in, but also to allow our support forums members enough time to vote - without having the competition run for more than a month and a half before we have our winners.

So, what I have done is take a day away from each of the voting rounds and put that into the submission deadline. Voting rounds will now be either 4 (if 32 entries) or 5 (if 16 entries) days long, instead of the 5 or 6 that we were going to do. Hopefully, this should allow enough time for some voting while allowing more time for people to finish up hacks and styles and get them in, so that they can be a part of this competition. In any case, this is the only deadline extension that I can see happening, given the schedule that we want to keep.
