Hey all,

I used Modify Profile (http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/193) to add new profile fields to a couple of my phpBB 2s. With a conversion to phpBB 3 being a consideration, I was wondering how I might be able to convert those profile fields to be phpBB 2 profile fields.

Any ideas? Maybe there is even a converter already somewhere.

I appreciate any help and assistance. Thank you for your time.

Patrick

phpBB3 has the option to add new fields to the profiles built into it so you wont need a mod to do it for you.

This mod may also be of benefit to you.

as might this one.

PrimeHalo also has quite a few phpBB3 mods that might be of interest to you with such a community as phpBBhacks.com or one or more of your other communities.

You can find a description and download all of them from http://www.absoluteanime.com/admin/mods.htm#panel1

Hey ~HG~,

Thanks for the reply.

Really, what I am looking for is the ability to convert the custom profile fields we have in phpBB 2 now, so we don't lose that data.

I like the new create custom profile fields feature in 3, but I really need a way to import the data from the phpBB 2 custom profile field. This may be easy, but I'm not sure how to do it.

I appreciate your time.

Thanks,

Patrick

Definitely still looking for a solution here, so I wanted to bring it back up. I have some custom fields on a couple of my phpBBs that it really wouldn't make sense to lose (the data in them, that is).

Thanks,

Patrick
