I've been working on this site for a friend for about 2 years now! I was a total noob when I started.

There's stuff I'd like to do on the php/sql side, but just can't create the hacks myself, and can't find anything suitable already out there. The Statbox should be a mod, but it's not, and I'd like a decent prediction competition mod too!

I appreciate the effort that has gone into customizing these forums. Nice job.

If I could make two suggestions, they would be to center the header graphic (the navigation links in the silver bar are centered and I think the header would look nice centered above them) and to lighten the red link color a bit. The link color hurts my eyes a little bit and I think it is because of a lack of contrast. Making it lighter should help that.

Also, maybe make the register link/the ability to register more visible. We've done something here at phpBBHacks.com where when you are logged in, you see this big register link. It may help increase registrations.

Hope this helps. Good job again!

Patrick

Thanks.

Actually I've been thinking about the header graphic for a while, I don't like just square banners being centred, so I've been trying to figure out one that has a logo in a table cell left aligned, but has a cell bg that will poke out from underneath when the screen is wider than the picture, I just need to design a suitable banner.

The registration thing I've also thought about recently. I know how I'm going to handle it, I just need to do a couple of other things first, like limit chat access to registered users etc..

The red links, funnily enough, thats one of the complaints I'd heard before, to be honest I hadn't thought of lightening the link colour, I was just going to do a whole new alternate template (but haven't yet 'cos that would have taken several thousand years!!.

Thanks again...

Matt

No problem.

One thought with the header - as a temporary fix, at least, since I also thought of the square being centered - is to fade it out to the left, like you did with the right side of it.
