As a second line of defence, and also to stop human spammers, adding a mod to prevent posting links untill a certain number of posts have been made works

I'm using version 2.0.19. Is there any solutions to get this hack work in this version?

The first solution is to ensure you upgrade to the latest version of phpBB in order to correct security issues with your board.

I have the latest version of phpbb and also the visual thingy they have to copy but still they come, mostly porn. I have also got the Admin set fro registration and that stops them at the gate, as it were, but I still have to go to the trouble of deleting them. I think they must be bots because the language chosen is nearly always Albanian, first on the list, regardless of the language of the web pages they are promoting. If that's the case though how do they get past the visual verification?

I installed a hack called 'Humaniser' a while ago and I have not had a single bot since. I was getting about 50 a week before that.

The Humaniser I use is an updated version. It simply requires the registrant to type in the answer to a simple question you set.

Try this mod, the visual confirmation has stopped all the bots and it allows you to set a minimum post before you can post links.

I want to know if a hack is available that prevents posts having certain words like "cialis" , "porn" from going through ? And if he posts more than twice , he will get banned ?

I am using phpBB 2.0.19.
