hi hope i'm putting this in the right place, i'm trying to change my bgcolor to a bgimag but can't seem to do it.

Are you referring to the main background of the page or part of a table? Depending on which it is you will need to change a different part but either way what you want can be accomplished by editing the template's .css file or the overall_header.tpl file. Could you post the code or a link to a .txt version for those two files?
A picture of what exactly you want changed may also help.
