Excellant website! I would love my website just like that ! (With different colours and content) but i love the way it all works!

Do you know much about redesigning websites? would it be possible for you to help me change my website from what it is now to all like a portal like yours?

My website is the WWW link. Thanks for any reply.

Thanks for the interest & compliments! Really means a lot to me!
Finally some appreciation

Regarding the questions:
I dont know absolutely nothing about designing website... I set this all up using tutorials, hacks, mods and all... but everything works, so im quite lucky I think

I know a lot of ezportal, and it is very configurable, so you should use something like that!

Sure, I want to help out! Im mostly on this board to help out people, and after those kind words I would be a terrible person to refuse any helping hehe!
Of course Im not gonna do all your work, but if you got questions or you want me to do some things, you can let me know... I would be happy to help!

Btw, why do you want a website like mine? You got a lot of registered people on your board, and very nice and clear design... Looks good!

Thank you for your reply

It was a friend of mine who designed the website, and he did a good job of it, but i would rather have the portal look, the problem is, i dont know how to redesign the website so i can get rid of the navigation on the left

I already installed the portal HERE (Its not working properly as i didnt upload the edit files because im not using the Portal yet).

In short, i want rid of the navigation on the left, so i can make a website similar to yours in the way it has been done with the portal because i think it looks fantastic.

I havn't a clue how to go about it. Again thank you for your reply.

Dougle.

Are you, by any chance, working with frames? Because if you added the portal and the menu already is on the left, it may be because you have some frames, and it will be displayed on every page..
I dont have a lot of php skills, but I know a lot of phpBB

What you could do, is delete the navigation of the portal on the left, making it integrate perfectly with your current design. Then, you can use it right away!

In what file did you configure your navigation on the left? you should edit the links there...

Hope I helped you a bit further , if you need any more help, please provide some more information about the layout/ design of your website/ how the navigation on the left is made

As i said it was a friend who built the website up, so i havnt a clue how it has been done.

To be honest i wouldnt mind scrapping all of it to have something like yours, but ofcourse keeping the forum members intact and posts.

Do you know how i could go about that? Safely

Really Thanks for helping, i really appreciate it

That's true... I need to make the "Categories", but thats not a lot of work... I first want to complete 1 portalpage, and then just make the others!

Very nice and I can see you know where you are going with it so giving new ideas is not that easy.

Personally I am not a fan of forums that do not make full use of the monitor width as it seems to me to be a waste of space. Have you looked at it at 100% at all because I feel it would look a lot better or if not 100% maybe 95% which would leave just a small area to the sides rather than a "large" blank area as is atm.

I like the background it is great but why is the background in profile.php different to the rest of the site?
