phpBBHacks.com phpBB 3 Hacks and Styles Idol: Winners Selected!
With Big Prizes Sponsored By...
Chitika, W3 Markup, SitePoint and Others (See Below)
Thank you for visiting phpBBHacks.com.
We have reached the conclusion of phpBBHacks.com Idol. For full rules, details on the tournament format and other information, please check out the initial announcement. Before I announce the winners, I'd like to say a few things.
phpBBHacks.com Idol was an idea that we had to encourage phpBB 3 hack and style development. It was also created as a means to reward two lucky authors with some great prizes. In doing so, we realized that we could not reward most authors that participated and I hoped that they would take it well and wish their fellow authors luck. For the most part, I have not been disappointed and I appreciate the good spirit that has been shown.
Thank you to not only all of the authors who participated, but also every author who has ever submitted a download to phpBBHacks.com. One of the special things about this site is the relationship that we have with authors and I appreciate what every author does to help others and the work that they put in to their hacks, styles and other downloads. If you participated and didn't win, thanks for coming out. I hope that the competition gave you some excitement, some energy and some pleasure. It's about the journey as much as the result and I hope that everyone has enjoyed the journey to conclusion.
I'd like to thank everyone who has otherwise supported the competition and everyone who voted. This is phpBBHacks.com Idol and it was important that the members of phpBBHacks.com decided the winners. They did. We worked hard to keep the competition honest and we managed to do so. We hit a bump or two in the road, but overall, for the size of the competition, it went really smoothly. I appreciated your patience when we hit the bumps, though.
To our four finalists - Elglobo, lefty74, Abble CoSa NoStrA and Morgyanne - congratulations on reaching the final round. This, in itself, is an awesome thing and I hope you enjoy and appreciate it for what it is. People voted you through 3 rounds because they wanted you to win and that's a touching sentiment, in and of itself.
Without further ado, here are our two winners. I hope that you will join me in congratulating them.
Congratulations to Elglobo and Abble CoSa NoStrA!

Olla, I am very happy to win this hack tournament !
Never, I thought to win in front of Lefty.
The proof, the results are almost similar.
It was going to be a close call.
I would like to congratulate Patrick for organisation of this tournament and of course give thanks to all peoples who voted for me and encouraged me.
Thanks to all again
Elglobo. |
