phpBBHacks.com Awards 2012: Winners Revealed!

Postby Thoul » December 27th 2012, 5:46 am

Hello,

Thank you for visiting phpBBHacks.com. :)

After several weeks of nominating and voting, the phpBBHacks.com Awards 2012 have come to their conclusion. It is now time for us to announce our honorees.

Before I do so, I wanted to once again congratulate everyone who was nominated and everyone who won. Being nominated, in and of itself, is a beautiful thing and should be recognized. If you did not win or were not nominated, please do not take it personally. These awards do have meaning, but they are also for fun and not everyone can win or be nominated. Please join me in congratulating our winners. :)

I would also like to pass along a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the process by nominating and voting. You are vital to this event. You, the community, selected the nominees and decided the winners. :)

Without further ado, here they are:

1. Hack Author of the Year: ABDev

2. Hack of the Year: Quick Title Edition by ABDev and PastisD

3. Style Author of the Year: Jester

4. Style of the Year: Visio by phpBB-fr.com Team

5. Support Forums Member of the Year: femu

6. phpBB of the Year: ArkhamCity.co.uk

In addition to the member selected awards, we also have our Top 5 Hack Authors and Top 5 Style Authors of the Year lists, as selected by myself after careful consideration of author activity within this community in the past year. Here they are:

Top 5 Hack Authors of the Year

1. primehalo (Ken F. Innes IV)
2. femu
3. EXreaction
4. ABDev
5. Rickey Gu

Top 5 Style Authors of the Year

1. Vjacheslav Trushkin
2. Ishimaru Design
3. _Vinny_
4. Morgyanne
5. Jester

Congratulations to ABDev, PastisD, Jester, phpBB-fr.com Team, Felix (femu), Vjacheslav Trushkin, primehalo (Ken F. Innes IV), EXreaction, Ishimaru Design, _Vinny_ and Morgyanne! :)

All honorees, past and present, are listed on the phpBBHacks.com Awards page on our website.

I have sent graphics commemorating this event to all honorees. I sent them to the e-mail addresses that I had on file and/or could find. If you did not receive yours, please send me a private message or an e-mail at thoul@phpbbhacks.com and I will be sure that you receive it.

Thank you for reading and for supporting the phpBBHacks.com Awards. :)

Sincerely,

Thoul

Congratulations to the winners!

This is a very good initiative I wasn't aware of.
I am considering submitting the hacks I created for my board ... they are not yet public although they are nothing amazing or special! They were made more for fun than anything else
