Hmm..I'm not really sure how you could efficiently and safely automate the process of creating a facebook application. I mean, you'd need the user to input his facebook account information to acquire a key, and I know I wouldn't be the most comfortable with that. Also, I'm not sure what Facebook's terms/views are in the case of automated application developement - it may be seen as a form of spam.

A quick search of Facebook will show over a hundred applications that allow you to make applications. The process wouldn't be automatic and would require users to follow a few screens showing them how to apply for a developer key and then copy it into the interface.
With the new Facebook profile the development of this mod has been stalled a bit as I have to rework certain areas to get them working again but I do have three communities I'm working with that are using very early alpha builds as I continue to develop this.
Oh I should also add to help quell any fears the application will require user input to help create the application and will not transmit any information to myself or my servers so you can rest assured profile information is protected. This mod makes use of iFrames for the actual acquiring of a Facebook app key.

I've double checked with a developer at Facebook and this sort of application is currently allowed under the TOS. |
