[b]Update[/url]: This was an April Fools' Day joke.
Hello,
Thank you for visiting phpBBHacks.com.
Nearly 7 years to the day, phpBB 2 was released. Our community grew in support of the software as phpBB grew in popularity. phpBB 2 was widely used and is still widely used, to this day even. We use it on the forums here, currently, though this will be changing.
However, the script is no longer being officially maintained and, because of this, we feel as though it is time for us to move on and for those who use it to upgrade, even if they don't want to. As such, today we are announcing a plan by which we will discontinue support for phpBB 2. Here is the roll out schedule:
April 15, 2009: No new phpBB 2 related submissions will be allowed in our database.
May 1, 2009: The phpBB 2 related support forums in our community will be closed to new posts, but will be left online for an undetermined amount of time, so that the knowledge shared can continue to be benefited from.
We will continue to accept updates to phpBB 2 related downloads that are in our database as of April 15, 2009, for an undetermined amount of time. Likewise, phpBB 2 related downloads will remain online for the foreseeable future. However, with the closure of the phpBB 2 related support forums, we will no longer be providing support for phpBB 2 hacks, templates or related downloads, as of May 1, 2009.
Thank you for reading and for your understanding and support of phpBBHacks.com.
Sincerely,

People need to learn to move on and accept the better, which is phpBB 3.0. This decision was discussed for awhile, and I'm glad we're following through with it.
I've been working with phpBB 3.0 for awhile now and I think people could get used to it. _________________ MSN Messenger: RyanZ17[AT]hotmail.com

That's a big pity Patrick!
Honestly, I did not expect this to happen yet.
In my country April 1st is is April fool's day, a day in which people pull each other's legs in a funny kind of way, I can only hope that in your country the same tradition exists and that this is your April 1st joke.
But I'm afraid it's not...
Anyhow,
Greetings and good luck! |
