Thank you for sharing. A few thoughts did come to mind.
The first one is that this style will likely resonate more with women then me. You may want to pick a more neutral color if the site is aimed at parents and not just mothers. Not that pink will scare away all dads to me, but there are some it won't really work with.
Speaking for this style, I am not a huge fan of blue links on pink and I'd like for the forum names and descriptions to be left aligned, rather than centered.
