mass/multi delete topic (not posts)

Hi guys long time no talk!
I've got a phpbb2 that has been over run with xrummer spammers and l want to clean it up add some anti-bot hacks and reopen the board.

That said, l've got many many topics (not posts) that l need to delete... is there a hack that will let a mod select multiple posts in a forum and delete them in one fell swoop rather than having to click into each post?

I looked around on the site but didn't see anything, your help would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to do this with the normal moderation tools available on the topic list page. It's been quite a while since I moderated a phpBB 2 board, so I don't recall the exact text on links or options. But anyway, look for a Moderator Control Panel or similar link on the topic list. That should take you to a page where the topics are listed with a check box beside them. Check the various topics to be removed; there should be a delete option somewhere at the bottom of the page that will remove all of the checked topics.

Nice to see you. The feature that Jeremy is referring to can be seen when you navigate to a specific forum or topic. Look toward the bottom for the list of things you can do in the forum. "You can post new topics in this forum," etc. You should see "You can moderate this forum" with "moderate this forum" linked to a list of topics for that forum, which you can then hit a check mark next to and apply a specific action to.

In addition, if you know the usernames of the members who started the threads that you want to remove, and there aren't too many of them, you could use Jeremy's Post Remover hack, found here: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/4291
