hi..

i am currently using vb 3.8.4 and i decided to change to phpbb 3.0.6 .

i installed it successfully..but now i need to convert all my members,threads and post, etc,,.to phpbb board.

so i used the vb3 to phpbb3 converter..now i get this error during the second step :-

Code:
Could not find path to your former board. Please check your settings and try again.
» ../forums was specified as the source path.
Could not connect to the database, see error message below.
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

so..please help me to overcome it.. thanks..

../forums isn't a correct path if I am not mistaken. I think that is suppose to look something along the lines of this:

/public_html/forums

or

/home/(yourdomainloginnameorotherinfohere)/public_html/forums

I too am looking at ../forums being incorrect and I see it that it should simply be /forums without the .. in front.
