I'm Josh...

Postby html-n-beyond » February 20th 2013, 3:41 am

and I would like to re-introduce myself. :)

I haven't posted on here in about 2 or 3 years...I used to be really active, even being voted "Support Forums Member of the Year" in 2005. I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I do see a few of the regulars from "back in the day" are still here (ie. Patrick and Thoul). A lot has changed since I last posted in here. I now have a beautiful wife of 2 years last December, 2 amazing daughters (Joshlynn, 2YRS; June, 8MOS) and I changed jobs (went from being a Sales Associate @ Wal-Mart to a Terminal Support Specialist @ First Data Corporation). I also moved from Columbus, NE to Omaha, NE in June 2011. Again, my name is Joshua, or Josh, and I am gonna try to get active again. My hectic, yet blessed, new life resulted in me losing my website the 2nd time...hopefully I can get a new website up and running, and keep it up, soon.

Anyways, it's nice to be back. :)

Welcome back, Josh! It's great to see you return. :)

You have had a busy time these past few years. Congratulations on getting married, having daughters, the new job, and home. :)

Thank you, Thoul! It's great to be back. Hopefully I haven't forgot too much about PHP, lol. It's been over a year since I even did anything w/ PHP. In fact my website was shut down in November 2012 because I let it lapse. I figured I wouldn't have the time to do anything w/ it anyways. No I kinda wish I had made the payments on the webspace and URL, lol. I'm back @ square one for the 3rd time now...oh wel. What have you been up to? Any major life changes since I spoke to you last?

Nothing major to report for me, other than what you've already learned - taking over administration of phpBBHacks.com.

You may be back a square one on your website, but look at it as an opportunity. You can start building the basis of it from scratch, without any worries about software upgrades or such. :)

Congrats once again on getting the amazing opportunity to take over this wonderful community!

And you bring up a great point...upgrading software can be such a pain, lol. At least now when I get my website up and running again I won't have to spend a couple hours upgrading software as I'm sure there have been a lot of updates made to the phpBB software since November 2011, haha. :)
