can you all visit www.paxed.com and look around and tell me if that is a modified template or a portal, or is this a good usage of php or another scripting language?
if any of the above is true, cold someone please point me in the direction of a tutorial, template or any kind of download that would help me to turn my site into an interactive communtiy like this one.

It appears that this is a custom built PHP site, using a custom built template. I'm guessing this way because most portals are built into the forums, however this sites link to the forums is in a completely different directory. I could be wrong, but either way there are several hacks avaiable here to create the same type of thing. I'll see if I can find some of them.
