help with templates

hey guys , have a quick question, i downloaded a mod for phpbb 3.0.8 and integrated it successfully everything works fine, but the thing is that that hack is only for prosilver and subsilver2 template.

What do i need to modify so that it also works on other templates lik e.g Hestia?

Most other templates are based on prosilver or subsilver2. Compare the Hestia files to those templates. If you see a lot of common code between Hestia and one of them, trying installing the set of instructions for that template on Hestia.

Look here even in the first line i have to find they don't match.
I have to find this line in the prosilver template:

I find it there but when i search in the hestia template for it i find nothing

If prosilver doesn't match, try it with the subsilver2 instructions. From what I see of the Hestia file there, I expect subsilver2 will be a better match.

There is only one install.xml file with instructions which says:

Code: Select all

Support is given for both prosilver and subsilver2 templates. If you are using other templates then you will need to modify the template instructions to fit your templates.

but the subsilver2 is more different than prosilver .

There are many hacks which i added to Prosilver theme, and wanna add now to the hestia theme, and thought if i learn how to modify the theme for this hack it won't be hard for the other hacks then.

When you open the install instructions you will find near the top the following information:

Additional MODX files

* en Template: subsilver2
* en Language: Arabic
* en Language: German
* en Language: French
* en Language: Dutch
* en Language: Polish
* en Language: Russian
* en Language: Slovak
* en Language: Ukrainian

Clcik on the subsilver2 link and it will open the instructions for subsilver2

Hey again, i tried to install the Mods with SubSilver Instructions but it didn't help. Some lines are still Different.

Any Help ?
