Hey, this is Daniel Exe (I just don't go by that name anymore, except on phpBB.com) I'm definately looking forward to this competition: I've jumped right in it. I've already submitted a new skin as an entry, DarkFantasy, and I plan on getting another or maybe even two available soon. Gotta say, this contest is great motivation for style authors such as myself to be creative and design some new ones. 
Oh, and by the way, is there a limit to how many styles from each author make it to the voting round? And I'm assuming that in the tourney bracket, you wouldn't pit two entries from the same author against each other, or is the order completely random?

Hey Daniel,
Thanks for posting.  I'm glad to hear that you like the competition and that it motivated you. That was one of the hopes. Thanks for the kind words and participating!
As far as a limit, no, there isn't actually. It could very well end up where we have two of the same author's works competitng against one another. Here's how it will work:

You are encouraged to make multiple submissions because it might allow you to have multiple bracket positions. Let's say we receive 45 submissions from 20 authors. In a 32 entry bracket, each of the authors is guaranteed one slot. But, that leaves 12 spots remaining. So, let's then say that we had 9 authors who submitted 2 hacks or more. All 9 authors would be given a second slot. And then we'd have 3 remaining. So, then we'd look at authors who submitted 3 hacks or more. Let's say we have 5 people that that fits. We'd randomly draw 3 of the 5 to fill those remaining spots.

Thanks, i'll be resubmitting the hack with some updates and more instructions. And i'm also working on User Control Panel hack - Replaces the edit profile page with User CP like in vBulletin but i'm not sure if i'm gonna finish this hack until the deadline..
