Forums building software?

I was looking for a program that would allow me to design my own forums. weather it be based off phpbb3 or asp.net or whatever language is fine. I have a customer who had inquired as such, and while I didn't take the job, I was still curious to know if there was a software that could assist me in this.

Sure i can!

I mean being able to design not only my own template but possibly being able to add modifications.

*ponders* there are website programs that allow you to design (much like artisteer). the one I was more hoping for is: Adobe has something out in Beta called "muse" that is a little more like what i am aiming for - it basically writes the codes and allows designers to just design the sites.

There's alot of people like me who don't know Php coding enough to make forums of our own, and then we are restricted to using modifications which can sometimes break our forums. I'd like to be able to add things on my own:

Let's say I want to rearrange the UCP, or make avatars one size for the viewtopic and a different size for the profile. or possibly even rearrange the way a member's profile looks when someone looks at it. This is harder for people like me to change, because we only know basics - and not enough to change it how we want.

Learning is fine, but from what I've been reading lots of "coding" is being made easy through software and programs that write it for you, so I'm really hoping there is one for forums.

I hope this is making sense? I'd like to be able to create my own template and add modifications i need to the forums without having to worry about crashing them or finding someone to make a modification i need.

Thanks Kirnath. Unfortunately, I don't know if there is any super hands on, really in depth WYSIWYG editor for forums (or a particular forum software).
