Forum startup

Hey all,

I am starting a new forum to have somewhere to handle political, religious, and other issues that are not accepted on a friends forum. My forum is http://www.SupportThe2nd.com. I know it may sound like a gun-nut site, but thats not what its all about. Right now I know of a few small issues with the site. I am hoping for some real honest input as to the layout of the site, and some suggestions as to what content to add. Any and all help is welcome. Don't worry I have very thick skin so criticism won't hurt my feelings.

For starters, I would get rid of the "splash screen" as it may confuse some visitors to your site...it's not really descriptive and seems "out of place"...

As for the forum itself, I think it's a good start. I would personally change the layout a little so it has more to do w/ America/politics...maybe go w/ a American Flag theme or something of the like (?) As for the topics...you may want to think about adding a section for general social issues (maybe call it "General Social Issues") and combine the 3 gun topics into one...as well as add a topic for religious discussion.

Just a few suggestions off the top of my head.
