Flautato - Flute Community

Hey everyone,

i always wanted to create a community for flute players. I finally finished it. What do you think of it?

Hello and welcome, privateradio. Always cool to see different niche communities. Here is some feedback on random aspects of the site that I noticed:

- I think it would be cool if you had some sort of logo beyond just normal text. It helps with branding and people remembering your site.

- The login box to the left would probably look cool if it was aligned with the top of that bar, as opposed to down a little bit, leaving that chunk of white space above it.

- The "Welcome to Flautato.com" and two boxes below it seem to take up a lot of space. I'm nots ure how you can cut down on this, but maybe there is a way to combine the "Welcome to Flautato.com" area more/closer to the two boxes.

- The fact that your community has most colors customized makes it kind of a shame that it has the standard subsilver 2 icons, rather than ones that fit in with the color scheme. So, it'd be awesome if they matched, adding that special level of polish.

- A standard piece of feedback is that there seems to be a lot of forums and sections. You might want to think about cutting this down to 4-8 forums. For example, there are 7 forums in the Care & Equipment category. You could cut all 7 down to one and name it "Care & Equipment." That isn't the category - just the forum.

You can always add new forums and categories later as you see a need.

i really do appreciate!

1. I'm trying to create my own logo.. i will show it to you then!
2. I put the login box to the top... it looks much better now..thanks!
3. I removed the welcome message and the two boxes below. They appear in a pop-up now.
4. I will replace the subsilver icons.
5. Yes...so true.. i still have to stink up how i will do that..

any other feedback? i try to work off your points

There appears to be a little more white space above the forum list, but below the ad, than is needed. It would look nice if the white space above the forums list was the same as the white space on the left and right.

With that pop up, you might want to include some eye-catching headline, like "Register for Free and Start Posting" or something along those lines.
