Does this hack exist

OK my forum is for a freeware game with a level editor, and since there's a special file format for the game levels it is incompatible with attachments.
Is there a hack to make it possible?

You don't need a hack. You can configure new types of files for the attachment system in the board's Admin Control Panel. It's on the Posting tab.
