|
|
Hi guys!
I was removing a bunch of mods from a friend's phpbb 3.0.5 forum that I maintain. I did this by reversing the install instructions - being EXTREMELY careful as I did so - removing the necessary entries from the MySQL database, deleting the necessary files, et al.
Now I have the following issues and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me correct them and as quickly as possible as this is a live-site.

While trying to refresh the template in the admin CP:
General Error
Could not open ./../styles/ClassyDark/template/ucp_favorites_edit.html
|
So I can't refresh the template files. Obviously the file ucp_favorites_edit.html doesn't exist as I had removed it. However, even after going over the install instructions thrice (as I removed the mod), this error still crops up. I'm not sure which file to look in now so I can remove the code that is telling the forum to look for this file.

Clicking on Users And Groups & Manage Users produces a blank white page. Cannot administrate any user accounts even when trying to access it via the users profile.

I'm at a total loss on this one, I'm afraid. Any chance someone may be able to help me fix this?
Mods I removed are (just in case the information is needed and/or helpful):
User Blogs
Forum Favorites
Forum Statistics
Knowledge Base
Tracker
The Wall
Note: Prior to removing a bunch of mods from the forum, I initiated a full back up of the entire domain (per the owner's request). However, I have a bad feeling that full back up was interrupted because when these issues first started happening during the process of my removing the mods, I tried to restore the site using the back up. That only resulted in messing things up even more because numerous files were completely blank. I had to get the domain host to restore from their most recent backup just so I could start removing the mods - again. |

If Thouls suggestion doesn´t help maybe you can solve this by manually removing files from the cache folder?
Make sure to not remove the .htaccess nor the index.htm files from the cache folder. |

| Thanks Dogs and Things. I tried that, but it didn't work. But it's okay. The person who owns the site has informed me that he isn't renewing the domain so I don't have to bother fixing the forum anymore. |

if your template is stored in the db, it is likely a left over in there.
you can go in the db and if that html file is in there, just remove it. _________________ www.zoocrew.eu - Help us save our wildlife - |
