Hello,
Thank you for visiting phpBBHacks.com.
April Fools!  We will not be ending support of phpBB 2, as announced.
The day may come where we will no longer support phpBB 2 in our forums, as that seems like a natural progression, but I have no idea when that day will be. As long as there is interest shown in phpBB 2 and people who are willing to kindly, respectfully help people with phpBB 2, we will accommodate that for as long as it makes sense.
As far as phpBB 2 downloads go, we still have our phpBB 1 database online. Enough said, right? 
I hope that you had a fun day! At the end of the day, this is just forum software and we're just having fun, hoping to help you make your phpBB the best it can be!
