Account Linking -- Multi-Accounts Under One

This is a huge undertaking, I'm told -- however I've seen the hack floating around on a few different forums in the past and I'm wondering what it would take?

Say I had 3 accounts, for a role play forum -- each representing a different character and I wanted to house them all under one screen name, or rather, when posting -- I would have a drop-down menu to pick which SN I wanted to post as.

If this is too much or there isn't one written, I wouldn't worry or bother much with it -- I'm just curious if there IS one available for 3.0.7-PL1?

Has anyone seen a hack for phpBB 3 that would accomplish this?
