To use the normal phpBB admin panel, you must have a set of files for it in every template installed on your phpBB. Since these files will be nearly identical in most cases, this is often a waste of server space. On top of that, applying hacks to the admin panel often takes longer because you have to repeat steps for all of your templates.

This hack replaces the admin panel template files from each installed template with a single set of files. The single set will always be used for the admin panel, regardless of which template you use to view the forum. You can save space by removing the old admin panel files from the installed templates and save time when installing other hacks later.
